Last week I registered Amy’s christening. Amy is the last baby of Karine and Eamon. They are an Irish-Brazilian Family. A different christening. A beautiful family.
Different because Amy now has no godfather, but three godmothers. Yes, Mom explains.
And beautiful, because this mixture Brazil-Ireland always result in beautiful children, in their case, 4.
Karine expressed what that day meant to her in her blog:
“Amy is my last baby.
And every time I go through some ritual with her I feel sad, I do not know.
Unintentionally I think, “Wow, this is the last time I’ll be doing such a thing” and gives me a lump in my throat. And I do not this.
Thus the preparation of her Christening, through scheduled at the last minute and nothing seemed to fit. We had no godfather, I mean, Amy had no godfather, but as I have thousands of friends, we decided, with the blessing of the Priest, we choose 3 Godmothers. 3 very special people.
Livia, who was part of my childhood and continues to this day in my life and Priscilla and Kenya who came into my life in Ireland, and with them I feel family and baptize one of my daughters was a formal way obliges them to be near by. Always. I like doing that to people. Godparents chosen.
The Sun? The sun was invited, but was unsure whether or not appeared. But who cares?
The day was blessed, exciting, glut, quiet and full of faith that our children are being referred in this crazy world.
Everything was all in peace among family.

All the cuteness of Amy
